What am I purchasing exaclty?

Good question and one that is often misunderstood. When you contract The Way Home to photograph or video your listing, you are purchasing a one-off limited license to use the images/video we provide, for the duration of the listing they are licensed for.

As the content creators, we retain all ownership and copyright to the content we produce. It's similar to the way music, software, eBooks and movies are sold. You own a limited license to listen to/use/read/watch and enjoy the content you purchased for personal use. But you can't go burning multiple copies of it and re-sell it on the street.

Depending on how you plan to use the content, our licensing agreement covers most situations. The license is non-exclusive and non-transferable to third parties without our permission. If the designer, builder, stager, architect, homeowner, or anyone else involved in the project wants to use the content, please simply refer them to us. We try to be flexible and fair, allowing you to get the maximum value out of the content we provide while protecting our rights as content producers.

How can I use video/photo content you produced for another agency?

You will need to contact us to arrange re-licensing the content. Any video content with an agent present is not re-license-able and a license will not be offered if the listing is still with the agent it was originally licensed to. Typically the re-licensing fee is 50% of the original cost.
